The Puzzling Cae of Khader Adnan

February 22, 2012 by Leave a Comment

Khader Adnan, a Palestinian who was arrested by Israel under an arrest law that is made pretty much to stop an imminent threat, is going to be free mid April if the state of Israel would find no new allegations against him.

That is hardly any news at all, however you should note that this man was on a hunger strike for 66 days, lost 30 Kg (60 pounds) and had both Israeli and Palestinians demonstrating for his release. We do not know what information led to his arrest but we can certainly have an idea of what he is thinking when he told his followers that anyone with a “bomb belt” would be welcome in the heavens and that the spread of body parts as a result of a suicide blast is of no importance since it is much more important to blow up little Jewish children.

This man is not a political prisoner, he is not protesting the rights of Israel to be at one point or the other, he is a religious fanatic who is, for some reason, convinced that god has commanded the Muslim nation to murder every Jew out there, and he is living his faith with the utmost enthusiasm.

To much of the Israeli army horror and dismay Israelis have demonstrated against the state, as he was calling upon believers to go and blow themselves up as long as they could get some Jews in the process. However the Israeli supreme court had set him free, even when presented with the information that he is trying and may even be in the process of plotting to set about a terrorist attack.

This is what happens when a democratic state with a stable and true legal system meets a religious nut, to make things worst – this is a case in which the side arrested is working effortlessly to destroy the legal system that is protecting him, and they ask us why we think religion is poison.

Next we will probably read about how Palastinian demonstrators kicked people in the streets of London to show them what the Israelis are doing to their brothers, in the meanwhile those who are murdered across the boarder in Syria can only gaze in jealousy and hope that intend of a bullet to the head they would get a nice Israeli lawyer to fight for them.

London School of Economics a Stage for Religious War

It seems that when getting to the Israeli Arab conflict there is always some fog around that makes the idea difficult to understand, it is almost as if every time you read something about protests against Israel you need to bend your mind to really dig at what is the actual issue at hand.

Only a coulpe of weeks ago we published news about London’s UCL Muslim pressure story and now we have news about another famous and glorious English institution of higher education, the London School of Economics (better known as LSE). This is one of the great schools in the UK, Europe and the world, and you do need to have some intellectual stamina to be included in its ranks.

This news is about a group of Arab-Palastinian demonstrators, setting up what is now already a known graphic protest, the presentation of the every day life of Palestinians under Israel occupation. This includes oversized guns and an ultra aggressive behavior that is intended on insulting and even physically attacking passers by to “show” how life really is in Palestinian areas.

Jewish and Israeli students of LSE have seen that, and knowing first hand what life is really like had their own protest, this presentation is simply false and fake they claim, and as the argument went so did blows and water balloons and such things.

This is yet another story how religion fights another religion, only this is an exceptional case, it does look like Muslims around the Western world have decided to influence public opinion, meaning they are targeting mainly Christians, to slander Israel. Why is this not political? well, because if the organizers of this protest would have been political activists they would probably worry more about the daily massacre of Syrians by their own government, just one example in an Arab world that is full of violence which is far – far worst than anything Israel is doing to some of the Palestinians living in Israel.

Another point worth mentioning is that Palestinians have (relatively) vast areas of control and self governance, areas where no Israeli (civilian or soldier) had set foot in for years, it is not even 30% of Palestinians that are facing road blocks and Israeli soldiers on a daily basis.

It is clear that these protests are being dictated from above, by someone who wants to keep an anti-Israeli agenda, while bluntly ignoring every political events in the area, the bloody, months old fight in Syria, the oppression of the same kind of protests in Jordan, the every day killings and murders of Christians in Egypt, and the political storm in Gaza, where a transition of power is soon to take place.

The Price of Fanatic Messianic Ideology

November 16, 2011 by Leave a Comment

The German support to Israel is on one side completely understandable, the commitment of the German nation to the state of Israel and to its protection is something that is the perfect reflection of German adulthood and responsibility for the crimes of the past, on the other hand this support does not come without questions or doubts, which is a blessing.

The Germans have sold a couple of submarines to Israel in the last 10 years, the submarines are regarded as the ultimate dooms day weapon because of their ability to strike the enemy even once their country has been obliterated. In the Iranian scenario this does not really hold any water, because the Iranians do not seem to care to be blown to pieces as long as they kills lots of Jews as the more evil parts of their holy books command.

Now the last deal of submarines delivery is on its way but Germans are quietly showing their anger over the repeated violations of Israel in building on predominantly Arab-Palestinian lands east of Jerusalem. It is not only the fact that the Israeli prime minister Netanyahu insists on building permits phases every time the Palestinians do anything in the political arena, but also the fact that he had promised many of the worlds leaders he will not build in east Jerusalem, not as punishment and not as any building expansion plans, he keeps “forgetting” this promise, and this time is not the first time.

The building in those parts is done mainly to satisfy a small and crazy minority of Israel religious Jews who insist on living on Arab lands, even though they got enough “Jewish” land to build on, these are the demented Israeli settlers with their messianic ideology are leading the vast majority of Israeli into uncharted territory, rushing forward with no regard to anything but their ideology. It is no secret that the majority of Israelis reject these people, however their connection to the government via the hard core right side gives them a lot of space to operate in, and the cooperation of the prime minister at times.

However now it seems that there is some opposition to this, by Germany, who is considering stopping the submarines deals if Israel does not get back to its senses and attains some controls over those loose right wing fanatics, now Israel will start to feel the price for this unnecessary building aggravation.

Who’s Dragging Who Into the Next War?

November 9, 2011 by Leave a Comment

Scary title, ha?

Though many in this West do not want to see any new war on the horizon (energy costs, stock markets and failing economies are the main and only reasons, not human suffering and death) a confrontation is becoming a real possibility these days. It has been years since the Iranian nuclear effort has been in the global public eye, the statements made by Iranians in reference to their plans were very aggressive and promised anyone who will try to stop them much harm, they were (and still are) very happy to reference Israel as one of those who will want to stop them as many times as possible.

And so we learned that the head of army in Iran, as well as almost any cabinet minister there (including the president of course) believes that Israel will be wiped out of the map eventually, and to add a “catch 22” theme to the whole thing that Iranians also promised the Israelis to destroy their country if they will try and stop the Iranian nuclear program, basically meaning you are dead if you do and you are dead if you don’t, pretty clever.

Now, with the last report on Iran’s nuclear program being published it looks like we are very quickly heading into a physical confrontation between the two countries, as the West looks on and does nothing. Of course Washington has something to do with it, the failed system of punishments on Iran has not done anything to decrease its will or ability to get Nuclear capability, because when you got the Russians and Chinese in your market the U.S. does not seem to make a strong impression.

This next war will not be about money or natural resources, it will be a religious war, a war driven and delivered in the name of god, between Islam on one side and Judaism/Christianity on the other side but also within Islam, between the Shiite Iran to its Muslim Sunni countries.

In this probable scenario Israel will try and strike Iran’s nuclear facilities, in it own defense, since many Iranian officials have promised to destroy Israel over the years, however Israel is not fighting any holy war here, its just trying to survive a lethal development. Israel’s next war is anything but a religious war, its 1.5 million Muslim citizens and many other ethnic minorities, the damage will not sort out religious and believers when it strikes, and almost any nuclear device activation in any part of this small country will inflict damage on many different faiths, which is much more than you can say about the helpless people of Iran who are shoved into this conflicted by religious mad leaders.

Surprised? Really?

The Israeli Atheist Wave

October 11, 2011 by 3 Comments

The news out of Israel should be very encouraging for any atheist out there, the writer Yoram Kaniuk has finally got his religion status removed from the nation registry, meaning he is no longer identified as “Jewish” in the governmental files. There should be no mistake here, this particular person is very much an Israeli, he had fight for this country and sacrificed much for it, however he is against the ever lasting embrace Israel has with the Jewish religion.

The author told journalists that “Personally, I have always been an atheist. I belong to the Jewish nation; I have never belonged to the Jewish religion”, which is fair enough, to be of the Jewish nation but not to participate or to support the main ideas of the religion is exactly what atheists need. Since we can not, or should want, to break away from our personal heritage we need to separate the religious condition into which we were born and the actual idea of that same religion.

Following the move to register Kaniuk as “without a religion” hundreds (some say thousands) of now “Jewish” Israelis are now asking to have the same done to their status in the registry, which just shows you that if only given the chance atheism could be the the fastest growing non religion of our time.

"Without Religion" and proud
