See How a Child Robbed of Childhood Looks

February 15, 2012 by Leave a Comment

Little Girls Made Wives

It reads – “1st Prize Contemporary Issues Stories: Tahani, who married her husband Majed when she was 6 years old and he was 25 years old, poses for a portrait with her former classmate Ghada, also a child bride outside their mountain home in Hajjah, Yemen, June 10, 2010. Nearly half of all women in Yemen were married as children. (Stephanie Sinclair/VII Photo Agency/National Geographic Magazine)”

Six years old, your childhood is over, life as you know it – is over, everything is over. A new thing starts, something that you had not had the time to learn, understand, practice or think about, you are hurled into a new life without the chance of anyone even sounding the weakest protest.

Thousands of lives, if not more, are simply finished this way. And when they wed you at 6 it is almost as clear as anything that you will have no voice in this world and no chance to do as you please – ever.

We Are All Mormons After We Die

February 15, 2012 by Leave a Comment

Another Member, Yay!

Here is a funny story, apparently Mormons (or actually A Mormon) decided to grow their congregation of believers with the ranks of the dead, because just like in Russian elections it simply makes sense to put the dead to good use, if this sounds a little “off” to you, well, they also believe that the departed can object to the conversion (somehow), and yet no one has actually saw any sign of objection from those dead who are converted.

And so the news today tell us of a Mormon (or some Mormons) that had decided to convert the whole family of Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal, a Jewish family who did not survive the crimes of the Nazi state against Jews in World War II, without asking for permission. Wait, how can you ask permission of the dead?

In any case, this is at the very least poor judgement, but one should not be surprised that such ideas come out of the Mormon church, who hunts down non Mormons to convert with vengeance, it is one of those perfect examples of how belief can not only destroy the availability of clear thought but of the way it can loop itself into a kind of obsessive occupation with other people’s beliefs.

It now seems that the news are too big to ignore and of course church officials are condemning the act, saying that this whole practice was stopped years ago, well, one can only guess what is taking place in Mormon Churches, and how that could change her or his religious status later on.

Katharina Henot Was Not a Witch

Burning Witches - An Old Church Tradition

This next story comes to us from Germany, where 400 years after the church led a psychopathic witch hunt into the main activity of the local peoples for a decade or so it is now moving to clear those who were burnt alive of any charges of “playing with Satan”.

All of this could sound amusing, even descent thing to do, after all most of humanity understood that there are no real witches and no one is actually making a packet with the devil since the devil does not exist, and that most of the people accused and set on fire for being the followers of the fallen angle Satan were actually loners moving through areas they did not know and had the very bad luck of getting into the wrong place at the wrong time.

So Katharina Henot who managed the post office of the city of Colon, Germany at the year 1627 was accused of having some soft of partnership with the devil and promptly set on fire to the delight of the local council and the church, now the assumption is that she was put through this because someone wanted her position in the post office, how easy it had been in those days to clear attractive jobs!, just walk up to your local priest and tell them you saw the lone woman singing while she was walking in a field and here she is sining a song for Satan, as she picks herbs to prepare yet another plague making soup.

The annoying thing here is that on the news item you can read that – ”

Hartmut Hegeler, an evangelical priest and religious education teacher who made the request for the trial to be reheard, said: ‘Katharina held her own reputation in high esteem, she would want to have it cleared.
‘As Christians, we find it challenging when innocent people are executed, even If it was centuries ago.'”

Oh really? “as Christians”? it is not surprising that the church who is suppressing its dark history would re-write it as the champion of the burned alive, well, not too fast, since some of us here still remember that driving force behind all this – the Christian Church.

China and Russia Let Syria Go on Killing

February 4, 2012 by Leave a Comment

"Blood? What Blood?" asks Russia and China - Syria can keep killing

Word just got out, with the undying support of Russia and China the increased blood letting in Syria will go on, even the pathetic hand waving of the UN stale diplomats will not save the people of Syria.

It is almost tragic, that after months of killing and murder the UN finally allows itself to sit and discuss Syria, a day after nothing less than a massacre took place in one of the countries cities, it simply faces a veto call from two member states that seem not to be concerned with human suffering.

This is not the place to discuss the humane ideals of Russia and China, but it is well known and documented that these two seem to not care at all when its their own citizens who are being killed, and it only makes sense that Syrian blood matters even less.

One can only ask himself how would these two react if it was, say, Israel who would have bombarded – with proper army artillery, a Syrian village (or a Palestinian one), and why it is so clear that they would be among the first to cry out about it. Maybe it is not so much the Syrian government that has strong ties with these two governments, but rather the Iranian oil that calls the shots in Moscow and Beijing, and if it is so let us all hope that these two great nations wake to up take command of their decisions soon and not wait for it to be too late.

Egypt’s New Industry

February 3, 2012 by Leave a Comment

Looks like there is a new industry in Egypt, and it is kidnapping, it started with tourists and foreign workers and now has developed into a full blown “everyone included” kind of a deal, targeting especially children of upper class families.

This is yet another indication of the poor state Egypt is in since the begging of the “revolution” and the euphoria that followed it, the country is on a spiraling escalation of violence and crime, mixed in with fundamental religious statements that cry out for anything from a war on Israel to the banning of women touching fruits in markets.

It seems that the Mubarack era, as oppressive as it was, was holding back a lot of the criminality that was hiding in some layers of Egyptian society, now that this barrier is gone it looks like its a free day for all those who wish to indulge in criminal activity. The authorities have already shown themselves to be doing little to stop or prevent much serious things than these, for example of the Egypt soccer riot of this week that ended with scores of dead.

How symbolic it is that the grandchildren of the murdered former president of Egypt Sadat have been kidnapped, their grandfather was a prominent solider in Egypt’s army and later made president, only to be murdered by those who are now in power  – the Muslim brotherhood, and now the lives of his grandchildren are at risk because of how those who killed him run the country, sad.
