Can Pigs Really Fly?

February 23, 2011 by Leave a Comment

Oh my, there is something god does not want me to eat on the plane

No. Seriously.

Upset becuase there is pork on the menu? when you’re flying to Europe? should we assume that any place serving any form of pork is considered offensive?

I would have thought that they would be happy and proud to be treated just like anyone else, if you want pork you can eat pork, if not – no problem.

If God Hates Jews, Gays, Non Christians Etc. – Why Did He Make Them?

February 22, 2011 by 1 Comment

Following up on Ricky Gervais “Thanks God for making me an atheist”, is a PR from the courageous bunch at we are anonymous calling out to the deranged people of the Westboro Baptist Church to stop their common practice of hate mongering and stupidity. Here it is –

We, the collective super-consciousness known as ANONYMOUS – the Voice of Free Speech & the Advocate of the People – have long heard you issue your venomous statements of hatred, and we have witnessed your flagrant and absurd displays of inimitable bigotry and intolerant fanaticism. We have always regarded you and your ilk as an assembly of graceless sociopaths and maniacal chauvinists & religious zealots, however benign, who act out for the sake of attention & in the name of religion.

Shame they use kids for this

If you do not know (or found out in the meanwhile) these (crazy ass good baptist Christians) feel the need to explain to the world that their god simply made a mistake by creating millions of Jews, people with non traditional sexual orientations and believers of other religions, and that this god was too late to understand what was going on before the world filled up with those faulty designs of his (well… nobody’s perfect, right?) that he is getting very, very angry when he spots them and therefore it is the duty of violent, ignorant and crazy ass good baptist Christians to help god out on this one and try to rid the world of those creatures god created (by mistake). You should also note that god hates, just like you and me, or like every human being, he probably does not hate during lunch or dinner, or when he plays “angry birds” on the toilette, but nonetheless – he really does hate.

the urge to petition this duty is so strong that these people can not restrain themselves and even go to graveyards where dead soldiers are being laid to their final resting place to protest it, even though they know that Jesus would probably have done differently (if he was around, real or simply alive).

Sticking It to the Man (Fox That Is)

February 22, 2011 by Leave a Comment

Now this one I love, not because I do not like Fox news (I actually like some of it, and I also enjoy hearing other people’s ideas and opinions, as crazy as it might seem), but because these people and especially “that guy” are not afraid to say what they (seem to) believe very strongly.

This is one fine example of how a real democracy acts, how media coverage is not hiding from criticism (as brutal as it might be) and most of all – how free speech and personal liberties can be used every day and in any case. Enjoy.

Sister “Internet” Is a Fine Example

February 21, 2011 by Leave a Comment

This next piece of news is pretty surprising, but when you think about it again, its not that surprising at all

Sister Maria was apparently asked to leave the religious order where she has resided in seclusion for 35 years because she spent too much time on the website, it has been reported.

This is one friendly sister… and one old religion that is admirably holding back on progress (lets not assume that Facebook is actually progress). But seriously, this is one of the main points of all the three main religions, not allowing anything new in, at least not until its dead or has been around long enough for believers to use it themselves because they know there is nothing wrong with it.

As many say, imagine that Islam will have its way… no new Radiohead album, no internet (absolutly no internet) TV will probably be kept for praising God or the leader or the self annoyted king, no books or art, and lots of dirty old work for 99% of the population who were not lucky enough to be related to the ones in power.

I hope this sister understands that progress is contrary to religion, maybe once she is past that she could really start investing time in what she really loves to do, not other things.

Sister "internet" in action, Oh Lord!

Atheists Step Aside – Its No Longer Your Revolution

February 19, 2011 by Leave a Comment

In a move that does not surprise anyone, Egypt has now shifted into religious mode, with former religious leaders flying back into the country, and there are even signs of some Iranian intervention in the country.

Yesterdays’ news talked about Wael Ghonim being not allowed on stage to talk to the crowds of people who gathered in the al-Taharir square in Cairo. It looks like the Google’s employee is not wanted around Yusuf al-Qaradawi – a religious cleric that came back home to drive the revolution its final 3 feet, to stop at yet another Sharia law country, another Islamic republic to the growing collection.

Now we should hope for yet another revolution of the sane and not religious, those who do not believe that thee is such a thing as a god, and that this god does not ask his blievers to decapitate 12 year old girls for not following the manual, listening to music or having a boyfriend (that’s not at 12, maybe more like 17). Good luck Egypt, it looks like you just replaced one set of problems for another.
