When Religions Drift Away

December 17, 2011 by Leave a Comment

One of the sad thing about religions is that once they embrace the core principles of the belief they continue to evolve, sometimes creating next to insane ideas on the way. We have already seen that in the case of the Cairo crazed religious leader who simply told females to stop touching cucumbers and other penis like vegetables (check it out on the post don’t touch the vegetables) and on several other cases.

Although this is primarily done in the Muslim world these days one can not say that Christianity and Judaism are lacking on the insanity department, and if we would post each and every time some crazy piece of news regarding some crazed religious guy telling others what they should do we would probably have to post a hundred times a day, so we pick only the ones that are truly spectacular.

And so we get to current day Islam, which is a 1,600 year old religion stuck in the year 2011 (soon to be 2012) and acting as if nothing has changed over the last few hundred years, causing many of its religious speakers to pay a lot of attention on things that are not only irrelevant but also pretty stupid. This time we see a Muslim telling others that just by saying “Happy Christmas” to others they are committing a terrible offense against Islam, he goes on to explain that notion.

However terrible saying something as innocent and banal as “Merry Christmas” one can not think of the really terrible things done by Muslims every day, around the world, to their bothers and sisters (I mean other Muslims) as well as non Muslims, we are talking blood red violence and not just saying a 2 word greeting to someone else, but this is not something many Muslims pay attention to, they rather focus on how to insult their host cultures (in this case it is clearly filmed in the U.K) than to spend an hour discussing why Islam has ended up being the worlds most brutal religion.

Merry Christmas!

The Pope Likes iPads

December 13, 2011 by Leave a Comment

It looks like the head of the Catholic Church does advance with time, here he is using a tablet computer to set a mountain alight with the Christmas spirit. It is a shame that the same people find it so hard to do the same when this comes to sex and condoms, because just moving the bar a little and saying that condoms can save people from AIDS will start healing millions on Africans who simply do not know any better.

If you can use iPads you could probably also tell the world that condoms are just great, and allow Africa to start preventing AIDS from killing so many of its people, do this good grace this christmas.

News Say There Is No Santa – Only to Say Sorry Later

December 5, 2011 by Leave a Comment

This is just another page in the long book of this insane world, while in Syria owning an iPhone could get you into serious trouble (like life threatening trouble) in Chicago saying that there is no Santa on a news television channel could cause a lot of troubles by itself.

Would it make sense to you if a fighter pilot would say he refuses to fly over Chicago from the 20th of December each year because he is afraid to crash into Santa with his F16 fighter jet?, what would you think of a coworker who turns down an invitation to go out to do dinner with friends because he wants to sit and wait till Santa falls through the chimney with his gifts?

Seriously, why even get into that, there is not even a tight religious connection between Santa and Christianity, just check out the Catholic tradition of Saint Nicholas who does the same exact thing as Santa but on a different days (and also looks pretty different too). So believing in Santa does not make you religious, it makes you childish and immature, like believing that the moon is made out of cheese.

News anchor Robin Robinson of Fox News Chicago made the mistake of connection the dots and telling it as it is, Santa is used as a commercial Viagra and as a marketing tool to boost sales and make kids believe that they can get anything they want from their parents, which is not so great, especially when you consider the financial meltdowns of the previous months.

The only complaint I can really sympathize with is that young kids could, by mistake, watch Fax News and learn that there is no Santa, that could spoil a lot of the fun, but on the other hand, no one wants to be the last kid in class to find out that there is no Santa, better sooner than later.
