Why #May27 Really Matters

May 26, 2011 by Leave a Comment

The social media servers are standing ready for tomorrow, as many of freedom lovers around the world. Tomorrow we might see the rebirth of the Egyptian revolution, and with it a renewed sense of dignity and respect for the people who wanted freedom and will not stop until they get it.

See, changing the name of a dictator or tyrant is not that difficult, once you place the old one in jail or hang him or her it is really only a question of time for the next in line to jump in and assume the position, robbing and locking people as they go. This pattern is so imprinted into the Arab Muslim society that it almost seemed like its going to be the same here, but for some reason it is not. The people of Egypt feel that they have done all of that work for nothing, and now they are getting something that is more of the same, or even worst – a paved road leading to the first extreme official Muslim brotherhood branch government.

So check out the social media pages, and do whatever you can to let people know that the people of Egypt want real freedom, that the women of Egypt want respect and change, that the atheists that started this revolution want to be a part of the new Egypt, and not to be locked or murdered, forgotten and abandoned.

From here the only thing I can wish the people of Egypt is that they will win this revolution, that things will really change, the religious fear mongering will not win the day and that they will join us in our call to move humanity forward to progress and leave religion behind us.

No Rest for Egypt’s Coptic Christian

May 13, 2011 by Leave a Comment

Looks like Egypt’s march to a better future is not as smooth as some in the west would have liked to think, the strengthening of the Muslim brotherhood and of Islamic ideas leads to violence and the kind of trouble we have no heard about in the past 20 or so years.  Egypt coptic church, and its members (who are Christian) are starting to feel the heat from the mobs in the streets, spreading old time blood libel stories about women held against their wishes because they converted to Islam and so on.

It seems like there are a lot on Egypt’s streets today who will be happy to get into a bloody massacre of non Muslims and just get it over with, while the world is not really doing anything and the steady stream of people slowly starts to depart from this part of the world, heading into safer and more sane countries. Since the former president of the country was sent away it looks like the number of assaults and attacks on the Coptic church and its members is on the rise, and if the elections should bring the Muslim brothers into control things will not get any better.

And why is this on this blog? simply to show how people act when religion is involved, how religion and its leaders can target anyone and move a large crowd of fanatic believers to do the most horrific and immoral things, just because it says so in a book.

The Drunken Crazies of Tahrir Square

May 5, 2011 by 2 Comments

This Monday the TV show “60 minutes” had an interview with its own report Lara Logan, who had been covering the story out of Eygpt Tahrir square on the eve of the revolution, unfortunatly she was attacked by a crowd of happy drunken men who wanted to rape and kill her.

Wait! they can not have been drunk, its Egypt – a Muslim country and not many people consume alcohol – even on an exciting evening like that. So, what was the reason they attacked her?, surprisingly the interview does not cover that, even though the “why” question is pretty basic to good reporting.

The interview does say this – “someone shouted “she’s Jewish, she’s Israeli, she is neither…”, ah, so if she was Israeli or Jewish (or both) it would have covered the “why”, question answered, makes sense, a Jew in Egypt can not expect anything less than rape and death, nice job “60 minutes”, I don’t see any awards coming your way for this one.

So, no alcohol, a crowd of exclusively male crazies all working together without disruption to rape a foreign woman and tear her apart in a celebration for the freedom of the country, what religion covers that one? ah, yes, its Islam.

Its Islam, in which any woman not covering herself up is to blame for any male responce, its Islam where a non Muslim is concidered fair game, and can be raped or killed without any punishment, because it is not something that this religion respects (I mean female human being – of any other religion – are not respected, just look at what they do to their own girls).

And this small, silly little fact managed to escape the producers and good people of “60 Minutes”, they almost get it in the end when the brave and almost heroic Logan says that some people started talking about her breaking the silence, about women being attacked in Muslim countries, but nothing to say about why men think its OK to do this, and why they do not see it in any way to being morally wrong. Shame.

Who Let the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood Out?

April 24, 2011 by Leave a Comment

Now it seems that some of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood leaders feel a little better, and they have finally started to express what they see as the goal and targets of the movement, which is no less than world domination. In a perfect world, according to this branch of faith in the Muslim world, we will all follow the Sharia law, or else, well, will be killed (no nice words to describe it, sorry).

Now I’m asking myself if they will return all the money and weapons they got from the US and Europe in the last 35 years, or will keep it to help them start the way for a new world order. Only time will tell I guess.

Oh, yeah, Egypt’s atheists are nowhere to be found, I guess they had their 15 minutes of fame, now the part of god needs its 1,500 years. Shame really.
