Salvation via Twitter

The Pope has his own Twitter account now, its all over the news. Now millions of believers around the world can tune up to the person replacing Jesus, and get to know his mind on real time. So I guess lots of Africans will wait to see if they can finally use condoms instead of giving or getting HIV, if maybe for a small little moment the pope has them on his mind, and he feels compelled to set them free and avoid all the suffering and death that the Church fight against those small rubber tubes had (and still is ) cost the black continent.

Pope on Twitter

For anyone who wants to follow the Pope, here is the link to the Twitter page. Its always nice to see anyone say we should be better people, and that we should abandon violence, but I kind of figured it out before I saw the Pope’s twit. Imagine how would the official Church Twitter would look like 600 or 800 years ago… “The Earth is the Center of the Universe! Burn anyone who tells you differently”, or “Protestants are evil, must be killed, burned or tortured whenever found, at whatever age”, oh well, that was back then, right?

Another amusing this, here is a funny pastor blessing cars before they go on a race, just to show you how liberated faith has become, as well as to prove once again, that we need to thank god for everything, because (according to this pastor at least) he is responsible for all these wonders, as well as for the death of 22,000 children just yesterday (same number today, and tomorrow)(stats taken from UNICEF.

Pope Benedict XVI Holding A Big Book

Here is Pope Benedict XVI, the person that is the replacment for Jesus on Earth, saying that evolution has nothing to do with reality. Apparently he thinks that human beings were always the same, and will always be the same.

Funny thing. To me it looks like a younger generation is taller (what the hell do they put in the food these days?), it also seems that young girls turn to young women sooner than before, and we are not talking about thousands of years “before” but merely a couple dozen years or so ago.

The bodies that are found every now and again show a consistent difference from the current human being look, and much more than that – it makes complete sense that in 10,000 year humans will look different (maybe only slightly different) to us, but for some reason the pope thinks that is all nothing. Just like he asks his driver to be careful not to drive off the edge of the world (since it is flat, like some churches argued passionately) and that is why he asked NASA to change the whole space program since the earth is, as he believes, in the center of the world, and not a small planet circulating the sun. But that was long ago, and its almost 500 years since the church actually persecuted and killed, burned and tortured people for thinking what was right, so until someone sand strong and does not let them keep doing it they will toy with evolution a little more.

And, maybe it would be better for the 84 year old pope to try and focus his attention on Syria, where it looks like a massive oppressive massacre against the people has started today, including some fellow Syrian Christians, who can suffer greatly from the current government.
