Dalai Lama Becomes the First Holy Atheist

September 18, 2012 by Leave a Comment

The Dalai Lama has told his FaceBook followers this week that the old time connection between ethics and religion does not hold any more, if only the great Christopher Hitchens would be alive to hear (or read) these news he might have reduced some of his criticism of the Dalai Lama.

Religions hold on to what they consider an exclusive connection with ethics, as if without religions there would be no ethics, as if in a world without religious there will be no morals. It does not take a religious person to know what is right and what is not, it only take a religious person to tell other what is good and what not – and in many cases we have seen in history religion has it wrong, but that does not change the heavy punishments it lays on its followers in the process.

Make no mistake, the Dalai Lama has not turned atheist, he does not encourage people to leave religions or faiths (as can be clearly seen by his loving attitude towards religions), but the one religious leader in the world that truly considers compassion and peace, with little consideration for politics or money is coming closer to the inevitable conclusion that religions are becoming more of a hobby than a way of life.

Dalai Lama Asks Us Not to Hold Dogma Accountable

September 8, 2011 by Leave a Comment

Apparently there are many different meetings and conferences these days, just hours before the world remembers the September 11th, 2001 attack, that are trying to get as many different religious leaders in them to tell the world what is the hard learned lesson that we all learned on that terrible day – do not hold anyone accountable for what happened, it is not religion that did it, its just people.

OH REALLY? So, if it does say so, explicitly in the Koran that you should kill infidels and unbelievers, and if you are a person who truly (somehow) believes that god has written every word of that book (as read to his illiterate messenger in the desert) would you not think that god has clearly told you that killing infidels is exactly what he needs and wants?

Would you not say that the very spontaneous and joyous celebrations that spread out all around the Muslim world as word of the attacks reflect how clear this is to anyone believing Muslim?, and if it is so wrong, how can it be that since that dark day nearly 10 years ago so many similar attacks happened all over the world?

The Dalai Lama is in one of those things that are probably created by Muslims to try and stick as many other religions with them as they say it not religion. This one is in Canada, and the title of the news story I saw is that the Dalai Lama is asking for everyone to stop correlating religion with the crazy acts of individuals, well that could have been easier if the whole religion is based on turning everyone around you to a believer or a corps.

I say paint all religions, including the one of the Dalai Lama (who is a nice man and all, but still follows a dogma just like any other religion) in its true colors, from plain evil to mad, sadistic and arrogant, religions are exactly what their devote followers do and should be held accountable for each and every action, especially Islam which is trying to use everyone around to decrease its level of guiltiness in the slaughter of thousands of innocent people all around the world in these last 10 years.

It will not matter how many Buddhists, Jewish scholars and Christian pastors Muslim will gather up to say that all of them are not guilty, of course they are not guilty, Islam alone is guilty, and it cant help it – as far as they are concerned it is the express wish of god to have Muslims cut heads of infidels.

Dalai Lama - Buddhism did'nt do it, yeah we know that, Islam did.

A Different View – Sky Burial

June 30, 2011 by Leave a Comment

Sky burial is what they used to have in Tibet before the Chinese took this part of the world by force and stopped it, this is a very different interpenetration of how human being need to be buried, or rather the way that the body of human beings need to pass from this world.

The most important thing about this story is that you must keep an open mind to it, and most of all, you should have a strong conviction that whatever people believe is legitimate. In this case there is no real harm done, only to dead bodies, which the Tibetan monks truly believe are empty bodies, without souls or any ability to feel anything or suffer any insult.

So what they do is take dead bodies and cut them up, they leave them for birds to eat and after that make sure that the bones are grind into powder and fed to other animals thus making the whole human body disappear into the hungry stomachs of birds and other animals, in the end there is literally nothing left.

There is nothing bad in this practice, and this post is not to stress how ignorant or barbaric Tibet’s customs are, but it is more as a sign to us in the west that think that there is only one way to dispose of a dead human body and that are very sensitive to any other form (and if you will look up photos of this sky burial I assure you that you will very quickly discover how difficult it is to watch without keeping thinking that this is indeed a dead body).

So if you do not like this remember that this is something these people believe, and understand how belief could be very different and why we should not always accept other belief systems.
