With only a few days left to Parliament elections in Egypt, it seems that some are eager to show the currently army governors who is really in charge of the country. The last 3 days have seen scenes of riots and bloodshed in the now famous Tahrir square, a place once used to send Hosni Mubarak out of office is now being used to try and force constitusional changes on the parliament.

The force behind this are the religious parties of Egypt, determined not to let the army establish itself above anyone who will ran the country, a hint to what is next to come in Egypt. There is a growing sense that once in power, those religious parties will move to abolish any sign of democracy or freedom, and that they do not want anyone standing in their way when they do that.

The recent clashes between demonstrators and the police and army raise a question on the way the first Tahrir square demonstrations were dealt with a couple of months ago, it seems that no matter who has control these demonstrations get out of hand and quickly turn into very violent events.
